The British government paved the way for those settlers, don’t forget. I get it, if you mean I’m being unnecessarily narrow-minded: there’s no need to single out one or two cruel empires when there are many… All of the most globally influential countries and many smaller ones are ethically awful and cause suffering, that it may be easier to count the ones that are wholly kind and benevolently ruled.
If you are subtly referencing the destruction of native civilisations for the unification of the newcomers: Many countries like Australia, Russia and Greenland (to name a few, perhaps less known ones) have natives a.k.a. people who lived there first that are horribly oppressed and shunned, but let’s not try to erase the most significant acts of evil in modern history, condoned by a massive portion of the local population. One wrongful act does not excuse or justify another.
If you’re referring to the systemic hate of Jews in those countries and most of Europe: please remember that the ethnoreligion of Judaism, the cult of Zion and the nationality of Israel are not the same.
