What in the literal fuck is wrong with Americans and not overthrowing this tyranny? All these laws for this shit, and no balls to see it through.

I’m sure you’ve heard this before, but laws become meaningless when no one will enforce them. This is all happening because the US forefathers did not envision a scenario in which all 3 branches of government would be corrupted in the same way at the same time. Terminal cancer, more or less.

… and your continued belief that a document written hundreds of years ago, in a proverbial different world, must have all the possible answers until the universe freezes over

Don’t put me in your box. I actually don’t have much belief in the constitution. It was written 250 years ago, exclusively by slaveholding white men, and should have been rewritten multiple times by now. In fact, this is what many of those who wrote it intended. However, it is worth recognizing that if the constitution were rewritten in the present political climate, the US would become the corporate Gilead that it is inching toward overnight.

So, if the constitution as it is today is the basis of law, then it should be enforced without prejudice and for everyone, even those charged with enforcing it.

I don’t know your background so I can only go by what you post. When you blame it on the lack of foresight of the “forefathers” it sounded like you believed it. I agree it should have been rewritten multiple times by now.

However, it is worth recognizing that if the constitution were rewritten in the present political climate, the US would become the corporate Gilead that it is inching toward overnight.

Absolutely and with the brain washed American MAGAtards, they would sign themselves up for slavery if they though, maybe, the people they hate so much will get at least a few more lashes than they will

To me it didn’t read as blaming more like ‘of course people from a different era 250 years ago couldn’t have guessed that, it’s stupid to expect otherwise’

No, they did, if a group wins it all, and nobody overthrows them, then they represent what the people want. Actions speak loudest… The people want this.

Try that again but this time make it about Native Americans or Palestinians. Failing to overthrow your oppressors is not tacit approval of their agenda.

The unfortunate reality of our world is ultimately might make right, and also passive complicity also makes right. You only get to change the narrative if you win.

No, you don’t understand she wasn’t PERFECT on Gaza.

So no one should vote for dems until they’re PERFECT on Gaza, since otherwise you’d be uh uh uh supporting genocide! Not voting for her will uh stop the genocide, or something.

Well, one is that our current best hope is that the midterms go well and with shaky control of maybe a single branch of government we can start to fix things.

There’s no good reason anyone wouldn’t wait six weeks to see what happens.

The reason the DPRK is allowed to have nukes is because they already have nukes. Iran would not have been bombed if it had nukes.

DPRK wasn’t allowed though, the wealthy elites were heavily sanctioned for it by most of the world, and China loudly complained about that for some reason.

It doesn’t really matter if bigger countries finger-wag the DPRK or try to commit genocide on its population via sanctions, they still cannot turn back time to an era where the DPRK was nukeless. That’s why it’s been able to steadily develop over time, and reduce reliance on other countries like the USSR, which was a major factor in the 1990s famine. The DPRK has been sanctioned since its inception, this is nothing new for them.

Pivot to Asia is still happening in part despite ongoing MENA events wrt Saudi Israel and Iran. Turn NK and Russia against China, disrupt Belt and Road/BRICS, Sahel, sort of the Cold War strategy done post Sino Soviet split. But I’m not sure they can get the split part here. It just looks embarrassing and weak for Trump, humoring his enemies while they have no interest in breaking ranks.
