After a bitter rift with Donald Trump left many in Ukraine fearing that the US president had swung behind Russia again, President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the dispute head on: there’s nothing personal between me and Trump, he told CNN, but cozying up to Vladimir Putin would only “make him stronger.”

Ties between the US and Ukraine have badly deteriorated in recent weeks.

Zelensky said Trump was “on the wrong side of history” after he announced a deal to buy Russian fuel, upending international efforts to isolate Russia. Trump then waived some sanctions against Russia, drawing criticism even from his own party. Ukraine’s forces found their access to the Elon Musk-run Starlink service restricted.

Speaking to CNN from Kyiv on Thursday, Zelensky took a conciliatory tone, saying the tensions were “not about personalities” – but warned that Putin had no intention of stopping the war.

Whose being bombed? This isn’t Gaza. It’s had the lowest civilian death rate than any major conflict in modern history.

The people dying are forced conscripts being kidnapped ICE style

There are civilian casualties from Russian bombing almost every day. Today I heard explosions twice where I live.

Busification? Yes, it is an issue. You know what’s also an issue? A blood-thirsty dictator, who just won’t let go of his ambitions.

Ukraine specifically asked, that in case we’d surrender districts (none of which Russia fully controls to this day btw), surrender the fortress belt, there’d be guarantees for peace. Guess who doesn’t want to agree to those terms. Guess who doesn’t agree to a moratorium on civilian infrastructure strikes. Guess which side of this conflict practices human safari in Kherson. Guess which country demonized their neighbor since 2003. Guess which country expressed the sentiment that their neighbouring country shouldn’t exist.

What you’re doing is that you’re shifting the blame from the aggressor and the initiator. There was no busification before 2022. Why? Take a wild fucking guess.

Every accusation is a confession. Russians doing safaris? WTF? Azov Brigade trustmebro bedtime stories.

Democracy is derived from the individual only, not race, not religion, not ethnicity, not arbitrary borders, and not even nations themselves.

Individuals have a right to exist, not nations. Millions of people stopped being “Ukrainian” the moment their democratically elected government was overthrown by a Svoboda led fascist mob.

          Sorry, but not sorry.

Your grandchildren’s grandchildren will be paying off generational debt from predatory military and IMF loans. You’re a nation of orphans and widows, neofeudal serfs that are tied to a land they can’t even leave, all now owned by your Blackrock lords.

Annexation would make that disappear overnight.

            Every accusation is a confession.

Loud words that sound eloquent and profound, but in actuality carry no value. A demagogy in other words.

            Russians doing safaris? WTF?

Here’s a video of just the most recent case that i remember (facebook)

In my own city they bombed a theater and a trade center/office building.

Here’s also an online presentation from Human Rights Watch with some videos

Democracy is derived from the individual only, not race, not religion, not ethnicity, not arbitrary borders, and not even nations themselves.

True. Nobody here talks about religion or nationality tho. I wouldn’t have batted my eye as Russia captured Ukraine if Russia was a democratic and functioning country. Except it isn’t. How’d I know? Simple, really. I have friends and family in Russia. Little fun fact, when Ukranian drone strikes happen in Russia, there’s no sirens, no beforehand notification, no shelters. That’s just how dysfunctional the Russian government is. Those things were implemented immediately in my country when Russia invaded. That’s the difference. Russian government is an oppressive regime that treats its people as a disposable resource.

Individuals have a right to exist, not nations.

I might surprise you, but I’m not the biggest fan of nations either. Problem is, Russia, specifically its current government is nationalist, and was such for a much longer time than Ukraine was. Ukraine’s nationalism is the reaction towards Russia’s.

Millions of people stopped being “Ukrainian” the moment their democratically elected government was overthrown by a Svoboda led fascist mob.

Excuzes-moi, le fuck? After Maidan, there were elections held, Twice since then. Both the current president of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian parliament were democratically elected. And recently when Trump accused Zelensky of military dictatorship, Zelensky himself proposed for the elections to be held, if Russia will guarantee ceasefire for their duration.

Your grandchildren’s grandchildren will be paying off generational debt from predatory military and IMF loans

There’d be no children and grandchildren if not for those loans. Also, My country’s military production have advanced and scaled so much since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, that i’m not sure there’d be trouble paying them off honestly.

Annexation would make that disappear overnight.

            Except it won’t. Peskov said:

Any peace plans to end the Russo-Ukrainian War can only proceed from Ukraine’s recognition of Russia’s annexation of occupied regions.

In other words, he says “admit LDNR is ours, and only then we might start to talk about peace”. Except Russian ambition was to take whole territory of the Ukraine. When the invasion started, the tagline in the Russian news was “Киев за три дня” (“Kyiv in three days”). The actual military plan was for blitzkrieging Kyiv in 11 days.

You might as well put the Banderite state seal on this TL;DR word pasta, just like it’s on those Facebook videos.

The entire war effort is a fabrication in the face of reality. It’s about as real as a Marvel Avengers movie.

A marvel movie? For you, probably. For me that’s just my life unfortunately.

A fabricated video always has distinctive features, by which you can tell it was fabricated. Do you have any argument in favor of your claim? Or is it just your speculation based of your personal preferences? Each of those people have names, you know?

I like how you called my words “banderite word pasta”, because that just show that you didn’t even try to read it.

Must be very easy calling everyone whose stance you don’t like “zombified banderites”, but I’m not sure you should be the arbiter of who’s politically charged here considering that you struggle to participate in an actual discussion, and close your eyes any time an actual evidence is presented.

Ignoring that Ukraine’s cities are bombed by drone swarms and missiles every day, why are the conscripts dying? Because Russia is invading their country.

But it’s not the Banderites’ country. Crimea and the Donbass stopped being Ukraine in 2014. Russia annexed them because Zelensky was powerless to stop the Azov Brigade from shelling civilians in the Donetsk city center. This was after Zelensky campaigned and won on the promise of peace through the Minsk Agreement.

Now he’s just a kapo stooge who will never outlive his usefulness to these Banderites.

If Russia annexed them it doesn’t mean it was legal or legit move. It is against international law, against Minsk agreement and even Putin himself told many times that he doesn’t have problem with Ukraine and its borders. But then again, he said there will be no invasion days before … invasion. Russian invasion and land grab has no legal base, it’s just a nuclear country abusing its power and abusing weakness of the west and US and other western lackeys.

The coup wasn’t legal, but somehow the “international community” doesn’t think a democratic referendum on secession is legal. 🙄👍

Zelensky campaigned and won on the promise of peace through the Minsk Agreement, then watched helplessly as the Azov Brigade shelled civilians in Donetsk.

This is why Russia annexed the Donetsk and Luhansk Peoples Republics.

Why the heck would Russia care about internal coup in Ukraine? Democratic referendum on secession is legal only when a) it’s lawfully executed and b) the territory is not annexed but rather it is independent. Shelling civilians is subject to international law and not some ground for an illegal war and annexations. Again. Annexation in any form or shape is against international law. So is an illegal war.

America wouldn’t exist without annexation. No referendums for the Natives, Mexicans, Hawaiians, Puerto Ricans, Filipinos, Samoans, etc, etc, etc

We’re arming an actual occupation and actual genocide in Palestine as we speak.

The cases you mention are pre WW2.

Basically if others are doing it, it’s fine if even more war crimes are committed. Got it.

BTW US, UK and Germany (+others) are not only arming, they are wholeheartedly enabling Palestine genocide.

The United States held elections during the Civil War, so there’s that.
