Wait, this isn’t even a new competition, and it’s basically resurrected soviet propaganda? Truly bizarre.
To be fair, the US isn’t eligible for entry to Eurovision.
That’s not the point. This is about legitimising the Russian regime in the eyes of millions, and normalising war crimes in a time of sanctions.
I think the important difference here is nobody in the US gives a single shit about whatever the hell this is. Someone may have decided to send this guy but I’d be amazed if even 1% of the US has even heard of Intervision and doubly so if even half of those that have heard of it care enough to even watch it.
I’m kinda shocked they aren’t sending the whitest, blandest, redneckiest, sister-fuckiest country singer they could find.
Or Benny Shapster with his “rap”, which, I’m sure, fits at least half of these criteria.
