France’s nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle has been deployed to the eastern Mediterranean as part of a wider French naval response to rising tensions linked to the conflict involving Iran.

I haven’t seen indications that France is ready to join the US in attacking Iran. Having a force presence to protect European interests against whatever fallout ensues is probably a good decision though.

    At least I hope that’s what’s happening.

Drones were launched toward an EU nation (Cyprus). As an ally and one of the main EU military powers, France couldn’t just turn a blind eye.

It is a member since 2004, adopted the euro as its official currency since 2008.

But it is in a rather complicated situation since half of its territory is occupied by Türkiye (Turkey).

Thanks for telling me that. I did already know about the territorial issues but not the EU situation so that gives me a much better understanding.

Always. Almost every government is involved, bought, or silenced by now. In terms of imperialism, Epstein, global fascism, age verification, etc…

I don’t think blaming the Europeans for this mess is credible.

They need to focus what assets they have to defend their interests.
