Iranian state media is reporting that Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz in response to Israeli attacks on Lebanon, which have continued today.

Israel has said a ceasefire struck between the U.S. and Iran late yesterday doesn’t include its war with Hezbollah in Lebanon, where it launched its largest co-ordinated strike in the war to date. The Lebanese Health Ministry said 112 people have been killed today.

Most stranded oil and gas tankers remained inside the Persian Gulf.

I think this is a good move by Iran. Maybe, just maybe, just maybe this might motivate the rest of the planet to also put pressure on Israel. Just for the record, the rest of the planet should not need any motivation to be putting pressure upon Israel and their genocidal activities

I don’t know the actual conversations but can anticipate that it’s simply the easiest thing to do, and as ever, we will each be under threat by the US, if we do not bend over for them

Trusting Iran is a bit like trusting Putin, they can open and close this strait 100 times depending on how good their shit was this morning. Then Trump has to react, then they open it up again. Oh no something happened we don’t like, strait closed etc forever.

      Seems like that playbook.

Genocidal colony can’t follow the ceasefire for one single day before breaking it. Almost like their have their own “manifest destiny” towards east or something.

I wonder if Iran played off of Trump’s ego and he promised he would get Israel on board, thereby not having to negotiate with Israel who would be the least likely to accept any terms beyond complete surrender.

Trump seems keen on wanting an out while declaring victory, especially after the special ops drop in Isfahan went wrong.

Israel will of course does not want any end to the war, so now it becomes a tussle on whether the US owns Israel or the Israel owns the US lol.

Iran also has fired missiles at Israel after announcing the ceasefire. That was before Israel ramped up the attack on Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Trump also said Lebanon would not be included.

Let also remember that Hezbollah didn’t adhere to the previous ceasefire agreement, which included them withdrawing from the south and disarming. 80% of Lebanese want Hezbollah to disarm and stop attacking Israel all the time.

Hey take a load of this guy trying to make Trump and Israel be the honourable parties in this clurstefuck.

Israel should fuck off behind the 1967 borders and then we can talk about it being attacked. Trump should fuck off generally.

I don’t say Israel or the USA are acting well in this context. I’m just pointing out Iran and their puppets Hezbollah are pretty terrible.

At this point, frankly, they get to. That’s what happens when you put your opponent on death ground. Israel has been blowing up villages in southern Lebanon, and have made known their genocidal aspirations for it, which are to be treated as credible based on their actions in Gaza. They put the Lebanese Shias on death ground. Now they have to pay the price of that mistake.
