This is the epitome of could vs should… could a single pilot fly the plane ( given the technical aids available these days and in ideal conditions)… Yes, Should they… absolutely Not… lack of redundancy and too many opportunities for things to go wrong that could be avoided by another set of eyes.

Take them all. Let’s rip the plaster off. As a European I want us in charge of our own defence even if it requires a bit of turbulence. Keep the US out of European political affairs… it wants isolation give it to them.

The EU are currently trying the carrot (offering zero for zero), Next comes the stick (targeted import and export tarrifs)… it would hurt the EU, but cripple the US.

You fix your mess internally, do something to deal with your government besides complain… In the other western countries we are starting to adjust to the US no longer being part of the club… act before we get used to that concept.
