Oh yes, since all AI companies really want more regulations, I have an amazing idea for them: anything trained on stolen copyrighted materials needs to be published and licensed under public domain.
Microsoft, I’m sure you’ll thank me later!

I saw the news a few days earlier before the vote finalized, and I was already betting on the US voting against. Anything involving the word “equality” is too woke for them.
Btw the US has been voting against basic rights and progressive policies for a while, I don’t expect anything good out of them anymore.
And btw a lot of these proposals were relatively spineless non-binding agreements. Something that should have been relatively easy to pass because there’s no real committment whatsoever.

I should publish a blog post titled “Using Antropic’s Claude is a Perversion of Writing”. If you are taking AI output and thinking it’s good and engaging, you are making a load-bearing mistake.
Joking aside, the criticism can come only after they implement it and we can see if it’s having any effect on the output quality. I doubt it’s going to be detectably worse.
If anybody is feeling so strongly against watermarking even before we can evaluate how it affects the output, I am only thinking that they have ulterior motives or they don’t want to be caught spreading copy-pasted slop.
Our management is so “forward-looking” that we are still in the March stage: they want AI used everywhere, and added everywhere in the product.
Saying that sometimes you still need to use the brain for big decisions will make some people question your prompting skills publicly.
Hell, we even rebranded the whole company to be an “”“AI company”“”. I hate it there and I sense layoffs coming soon, but finding a job in this period is hard. Wish me luck.
