You’re only saying too powerful because of the price I’m assuming? For me if this was in a 14inch chassis, it’d meet most of my checkboxes, especially if it has half decent gaming performance. Don’t know how good fex is though.

Windows no, linux maybe. 15 inches is too big though.

This is the one that might break me honestly. Destroying the us internally whatever. Increasing costs around the world arbitrarily absolute bullshit but whatever, hopefully it pushes everyone to stay far away from the us so even as we’ll all suffer maybe we’ll learn something for once (us citizens). Allowing people to die globally from a truly horrific disease, in a potentially preventable way, and then sticking other countries with the problem is downright barbaric. The worst part is even if I manage to leave this place I can’t escape whatever effects come from it imploding. Didn’t think I’d watch the collapse of an empire in my lifetime but hey I guess after being basically born into 9/11, watch 08 happen as a kid, and having covid ruin everything socially going forward and then slapped with AI entering the workforce I should have expected it. I know “every generation has experienced the bad shit” but man doesn’t make it any less shit.
I wish they’d fucking approve zed at work. Stuck with the shitty excuse of vscode. Also powershell sucks ass.

I’ll probably have to look at the docs but does xrandr assign something like a uuid to displays? I do remember having to set a display manually for one game for Wayland so it launched on the right monitor but I thought I had some issues with the numerical order moving around for some reason. Presumably I’d also want a kvm or something to start the pc from my living room as well and just plug or unplug from the tv itself?
I setup ssh key access only on all my machines so that bit is ok. Maybe I’ll forgo ssh like you’re suggesting as well. I thought I had some use for it but it’s been a while since I was messing with my forgejo instance, I’ve kind of fallen back to GitHub and codeberg for a bit since I’ve been busy. I couldn’t get https cloning to work for some reason either so I neee to investigate that I guess.
Thoughts on this versus tangled besides this being more mature? Also question, I have cloudflare serving as my ddns, I believe some settings I have configured there prevent ssh from working to my forgejo instance. Is it a security risk to allow ssh traffic properly? I have other services on the same subdomain published as well if that matters.
Edit: would Tailscale be a solution here?

Do you mean this literally? When did this happen?
If you want stable and can deal with the downsides honestly I suggest immutable distros. Otherwise Fedora is pretty reasonably stable for a pretty up to date distro and also has decent community support which is underrated. If your drive(s) are setup for it it’s pretty easy to distro hop anyways so it’s worth a shot
