This is great. I hope some commercial products come out of this.

I started using it like 2 weeks ago, loving it so far! Thank you for doing this!

Was the OG any different ?
It gets out of the way and let’s me do my thing. Wether it’s work or gaming.
Both Aurora on my laptop and Bazzite on my desktops, have been easier to use and maintain than Windows and OSX.
No ads, no nagging, no maintenance. The included gui and cli app stores give me everything I need. I freaking love it, it’s pure bliss. Best computing experience I ever had.
~3 years running Ublue distros. 100% happyness.
I faintly remember they had some paywalled features or something like that. Is that true?
Yeah, not too bad, but not exactly great either. Do they backport fixes? Do they maintain something like an LTS release?
So, you disagree in that immutable distros are easier for the common folk? Steam OS should be mutable?
If you enjoy the experience of learning how to fix stuff and how Linux works, stay with classic distros like the Fedora you are rocking. If you don’t give a shit and just want it to work, I advice you to switch to an immutable/atomic distro. If Gaming is important, I suggest Bazzite.
Otherwise, provide logs and we’ll help you out.

Well thought out. But if you’re open to advice, don’t spend any more money on Microsoft’s ecosystem.

Thanks a lot for doing this! I truly appreciate it!

Holy shit dude, I haven’t even found the time to try NutriTrace and now there’s this ? Impressively prolific.
This is freaking genius.
Only question: Any plans for a Home Assistant integration?
Also, not all versions update the same way. e.g.: bazzite-deck vs bazzite have different update mechanisms. Again, docs.
I’ve been ~2.5 years on the same Bazzite install. I Freaking love it. Best computing experience I ever had. I don’t do or learn anything and it just keeps on working perfectly since the day I installed it. Pure Bliss.
You can chose not to update and stick to a specific image. Check the docs.
All I have are Fedora based machines running Bazzite & Aurora. That’s been the case since the distros were originally released about 2+ years or so. Same install. No issues ever. A whole family of 4 running perfectly working Fedora based PCs with no issues and no maintenance whatsoever. I don’t do crap and they just keep working perfectly. No complaints, all praise. My family doesn’t even know it’s not butter Windows, I mean I told them, they just don’t care… it works and it gets the job done.
If that’s not stable, then I don’t know the meaning of the word.
/home should have all your stuff, just copy that to the new installation and you’re set.

I think they should be allowed. However, I wouldn’t even date to touch them with a stick from afar in VR.
Plex was the last proprietary thing I ever selfhosted and it’s been a perfect reminder.

I haven’t found the time to try it yet, so it wasn’t me the one who used the in-app feedback feedback system. But what I have in mind is: pull emails, Forgejo issues, calendar, etc, show me a kanban and Eisenhower matrix of what I have to do or to delegate to either agents or other people.
Dumb AF acronym.
